Students or graduates of higher education institutions with degrees related to Agriculture, Hospitality, or Food Technology.

  • Traineeship programs: No experience required.

  • Work/Skilled contracts: Relevant experience is usually required by employers.

You must study or graduate from an accredited higher education institution.
Some countries require a degree, while others accept diplomas.

Yes. English is the main language used at the workplace.
We recommend at least an intermediate level to avoid language-related difficulties.

Yes. We offer specific programs for current students, such as:

  • Denmark Livestock Traineeship

  • Denmark Hospitality Traineeship

  • Netherlands Livestock

  • Sweden Livestock

  • Spain Livestock / Food Technology / Hospitality

Yes, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria for each program.

All Bixter programs—both traineeships and work contracts—are fully paid.

We may offer you another placement if you remain eligible, either in the same country or in another country we cooperate with.

Yes. All candidates with a contract are enrolled in the Bixter Academy, an EU-certified online course that provides essential technical skills and cultural knowledge.

Yes. Many candidates continue their careers in Europe with work contracts after completing their traineeship.

Completing Bixter Academy does not guarantee a placement if you do not meet the visa requirements. Visa rules are set by the embassies and remain essential throughout the process. However, for candidates who are eligible for Bixter programs, completing the Bixter Academy course increases your recruitment priority — you will be considered as a priority candidate.

Please prepare:

  • Passport copy

  • Degree/Diploma or enrolment letter with expected graduation date

  • Driving license (if available)

  • Recommendation letters (optional)

Once an employer selects your CV, we contact you to issue the contract.
The average waiting time to receive a contract is around 3 months, depending on how strong your CV is.

The Bixter fee is paid only after you receive an employer-signed contract.
In some cases, an entrance fee (which is part of the Bixter fee) may be requested earlier. This entrance fee is fully refundable if you do not receive an employer-signed contract.

Yes. Our team handles the application process for all required permits and visas.
However, visa and embassy fees must be paid by the candidate.

Processing times vary by country. In most cases, it may take around 3 months or more for the visa to be issued.

  • Local representative fee

  • Insurance

  • Visa and embassy fees

  • Educational recognition fee (if applicable – for Germany)

  • Travel expenses

  • Personal pocket money

No. We provide full transparency.
Before your CV is shared with an employer, you will receive a list of estimated costs for each eligible country.
After employer selection, you will also receive a pre-placement notification with a detailed expense list.

The Bixter fee & Bixter Academy fee must be paid after receiving the employer-signed contract and before the visa application.

These vary by country but always follow the labor laws of the host country.

Yes. Employers provide accommodation—usually a private room in a shared house or apartment.
Cost: €250–€300 per month, including utilities (deducted from your salary).

We place candidates only in countries where they are eligible based on education and experience.
Before sharing your CV, we always confirm your willingness to apply for that opportunity.

Our team and local representatives guide you through booking your travel.
Please note: Travel costs are not included in the Bixter fee.

Yes. Your employer or their representative will meet you upon arrival.

Before departure, you will complete the Bixter Academy course, which includes cultural awareness lessons to prepare you for life in the host country.

You can always contact your Bixter coordinator via the email used to send your contract.

If a serious issue occurs, you may request one workplace change or choose to end your contract and receive a refund of the Bixter Fee.

Bixter Academy is the first EU-certified online course designed for Agriculture and Food Technology. It offers sector-specific knowledge based on European standards, covering key processes, safety, and workplace practices in the industry. The program also includes cultural awareness and language support to help candidates understand how life and work in Europe really function. This combination gives candidates a solid foundation for a confident and successful start abroad.

The course is part of the placement process. After you receive your contract, joining Bixter Academy becomes a required step, and the course must be started before your arrival.  You can also purchase it separately to develop your professional knowledge. We strongly encourage you to take the course as early as possible - the candidates who have completed Bixter Academy are considered with priority for the placements.

Yes. Graduates receive an EU-recognized certificate.
